"Tucci made the catch, and before you could say, "Nuke LaLoosh," gunned a wild heater that sailed far high and wide of a sprawling Okajima..."

See, now I read this and I worry that Okajima may have made more of an extra physical effort trying to catch this wild throw than he would've in a normal game environment. (Because of the fact that he realized he was the only one standing in the way between Tucci and a potential PR incident/expensive LED screen.) And maybe because of this fool who can't throw a baseball, Oki pulled a muscle or tendon or something trying to make a stabbing leap, and now the rest of his season will be affected.

That's the way my mind works.

i think this was before the games were played, so i don't think there's cause to worry, because as i recall oki looked fine.

Thanks. I guess it would make sense for such a event to be held before the games.
