Great blog you've got. Hilarious stuff about Papelbon in this post. I wonder if, when they use the tranquilizer dart, do they just walk right up to him and stick one of those fancy guns into his neck like they use in spy movie? Or are they more covert? (I can picture that madman Tavarez silently peering behind the dugout corner and raising a loaded African blowgun to his lips.)

beth

yes, blowgun was my theory as well. :)

For example, I can't get enough of this season's first NESN highlights commercial featuring JD Drew's homer, just because of the look of exaggerated consternation on Jeff Weaver's face.
YES. I'm stil not crazy about JD, but I will forever thank him for getting Jeff Weaver to make that face. Except, in this household anyway, there is great disappointment that they do not continue the Jeff Weaver face coverage all the way to the tongue thing.

(And from the previous post - was it SG you refer to where you saw no game thread started? We were just continuing with last night's thread. But Kristen and Annette were not playing, so this fact does not blow your theory.)

Iain

Every time they show Mike Scioscia's face it looks like he's got extremely bad acid indigestion.

I love seeing that face.
